Cindy Adams
Cindy brings over 40 years of experience in government-funded programs and deep expertise in long-term care delivery in community-based settings. Her career includes executive leadership at Centene’s Texas business, Superior Health Plan, where she led the Star+Plus program serving Medicaid enrollees eligible for both physical and functional health services. Cindy’s extensive operational experience and knowledge of the regulatory environment for dual-eligible populations are invaluable assets to Braided Health as they build solutions for managed care organizations. Her track record in driving operational and financial performance within dual-eligible programs and her commitment to high-quality member service will be instrumental in shaping Braided Health’s future offerings.
A key highlight of Cindy’s career was her involvement in launching the first Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) program in the U.S. This milestone fueled her passion for supporting individuals to live independently in the setting of their choice. Cindy’s dedication to advancing managed care effectiveness and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations makes her a perfect fit for Braided Health’s mission.

Mike Kinne
With over 30 years of experience in government healthcare programs, Mike has had a distinguished career, including two decades as a senior executive at leading national health plans such as Centene and Anthem. A seven-time healthcare and technology entrepreneur, Mike is also a well-known parent advocate within the Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) space. At Braided Health, Mike plays a key role in helping the company “look around corners” to strategically position solutions, ensuring strong alignment, growth, and improved customer outcomes. As Braided Health’s first advisor to bring deep MLTSS operational expertise, his invaluable experience in leading and building MLTSS health plans has been instrumental in addressing critical market needs. Additionally, Mike has been a driving force in Braided Health’s business development and growth efforts, leveraging his extensive relationships in the MLTSS segment to help drive success.

Courtney Murphy
Courtney brings extensive healthcare leadership experience to Braided Health, having served as the former Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA), a Massachusetts-based health plan serving dual-eligible individuals of all ages. CCA, a pioneer in care for the dual-eligible population, has provided invaluable insights critical to Braided Health’s mission. During her tenure, Courtney played a key role in partnering with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) across states to expand access to Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) for dual-eligible individuals. Known for designing transformative healthcare models and leading teams through growth, Courtney has dedicated her career to improving outcomes for high-need populations. As part of the advisory team, she focuses on developing strategic partnerships for HCBS solutions while advising on product design and consumer needs to drive best-in-class solutions.

Jamie Swann
Jamie brings extensive experience in care management, particularly with dual-eligible individuals and those receiving Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). With a long career at Elevance (formerly Anthem) and Amerigroup, Jamie has developed deep expertise in Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS), shaping health plan operations, especially clinical functions. Her insights have been key in helping Braided Health build impactful capabilities for health plans. A passionate advocate for underserved populations, Jamie has focused on maternal-child health, complex Medicaid populations, and long-term services and supports (LTSS). Most recently, she worked with a major managed care organization, addressing healthcare disparities and promoting person-centered care. At Braided Health, Jamie leverages her expertise in LTSS, Medicaid, and aging population challenges to drive innovative solutions that enable individuals to remain in their communities.

Tom Underwood
With over 30 years of experience leading healthcare technology firms, Tom has delivered solutions for both payers and providers, with a particular focus over the past 15 years on technology for the Home Care market. Most recently, he served as CEO of Sandata Technologies and has advised investors and CEOs as they navigate opportunities to improve care in the community. In his role at Braided Health, Tom is helping the team craft a strong value proposition for all stakeholders, including payers, providers, patients, and vendors. He provides invaluable guidance on strategy, direction, and industry connections, and has played a key role in helping Braided Health leverage Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) data in their managed care offerings. Tom’s leadership was instrumental in collaborating with CMS to roll out EVV requirements nationally, and his insights continue to drive efforts in accessing and optimizing EVV data to improve care.
